ACKNOWLEDGE MY MIGHT

10/3/13

The Bible states in Isaiah 33:13-24 (Chapter 33)

“You who are far away, hear what I have done; and you who are near, acknowledge My might.” Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless. “Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?” He who walks righteously, and speaks with sincerity, he who rejects unjust gain, and shakes his hands that they hold no bribe; he who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; he will dwell on the heights; his refuge will be the impregnable rock; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure. Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will behold a far-distant land. Your heart will meditate on terror: “Where is he who counts? Where is he who weighs? Where is he who counts the towers?” You will no longer see a fierce people, a people of unintelligible speech which no one comprehends, of a stammering tongue which no one understands. Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; Your eyes shall see Jerusalem an undisturbed habitation, a tent which shall not be folded, its stakes shall never be pulled up nor any of its cords be torn apart. But there the majestic One, the LORD, shall be for us a place of rivers and wide canals, on which no boat with oars shall go, and on which no mighty ship shall pass- For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us-
Your tackle hangs slack; it cannot hold the base of its mast firmly, nor spread out the sail. Then the prey of an abundant spoil will be divided; the lame will take the plunder. And no resident will say, “I am sick”; the people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.

The Bible states in Nahum 1:3-8 (God’s Power in Judgment)

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, and clouds are the dust beneath His feet. He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither; the blossoms of Lebanon wither. Mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve; indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, the world and all the inhabitants in it. Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the burning of His anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken up by Him. The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of its site, and will pursue His enemies into darkness.

THAT IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH JESUS AS LORD, AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU SHALL BE SAVED; FOR WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVES, RESULTING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND WITH THE MOUTH HE CONFESSES, RESULTING IN SALVATION. FOR THE SCRIPTURE SAYS, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”

ABRAHAM

12/1/12

The Bible states in Romans 4:16-25    (Abraham’s Righteousness Was by Faith)

For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace, in order that the promise may be certain to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, “A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS HAVE I MADE YOU”) in the sight of Him who he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.  In hope against hope he believed, in order that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, “SO SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE.”  And without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what He had promised, He was able also to perform.  Therefore also IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Now not for his sake only was it written, that it was reckoned to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be reckoned, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, He who was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

The Bible states in Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM (JESUS) WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”

Please pray:  LORD JESUS, PLEASE FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS, I CHOOSE TO TURN AWAY FROM THEM. JESUS, PLEASE COME INTO MY LIFE AND LIVE IN ME AND THROUGH ME.   I BELIEVE THAT YOU TOOK ALL THE PUNISHMENT THAT I HAD COMING, UPON YOUR BODY, I TAKE YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR.   I WELCOME YOUR HOLY SPIRIT INTO MY LIFE.  I FORGIVE ALL PEOPLE FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AGAINST ME.  THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR SAVING ME!
